What is Oil of Oregano?

Illnesses of many sorts have become widespread nowadays. New diseases are popping up almost momentarily; yet, often, their cure remains unknown. Many unfortunate victims have vested their hopes in traditional medicine, which often times causes unwanted side effects, thereby creating the need for more ‘medicine’. The vicious cycle continues.

Little do many realize, there IS a cure for everything, as stated by the greatest man who ever lived over 1400 years ago, the Prophet, Muhammad ï·º: ““There is no disease that God has sent down except that He also has sent down its treatment.” The Creator has given us everything we need to live a healthy life. As Dr. Ingram Cass says, “The cure is in the cupboard.”

One of those cures found in our kitchen cupboard is Oil of Oregano. Oil of oregano, also known as Oregano oil, is from the plant, oregano, the derivative of which is commonly used as a seasoning for pizza and other pasta dishes. Though native to Europe, Oregano is grown in many parts of the world.

Oregano oil was used thousands of years ago by the ancient Greeks and Romans for medicinal purposes and is widely used today by those who seek good health.
Known for its numerous health benefits, oregano oil consists of two main components- thymol, a natural fungicide that has antiseptic properties- and carvacol, which is effective against bacterial infections, staph, and candida. Many health advocates recommend oregano oil for a variety of health ailments, including herpes, AIDS, and cancer. There is research that has shown that oregano oil can destroy the herpes virus. In fact, there are reports of people having used oregano oil and becoming completely virus free!
